A factory audit by Tate & Lyle Process Technology consultants will initially obtain primary and secondary data which is modeled to simulate site conditions. From this, the impact of new technologies and revisions to operational practices can be analysed. Large scale investments may need significant amounts of primary data which Tate & Lyle Process Technology will source from Vendors through a Front End Engineering Design.Tate & Lyle Process Technology's business model will then be robust enough to provide a technical and commercial critique of the business opportunity and a recommendation on how best to proceed at an 85% confidence level.
Subject to investment approval, Tate & Lyle Process Technology will manage the final design, implementation, commissioning and post commissioning as Technical Partner. Raw sugar factory improvements
- Juice management system – through automatic control of juice temperature, flow, pH, flocculant preparation, flocculant dosing and clarifier operation that reduces residence times to less than 1 hour by elimination of recycled filtrate juice. Overall, juice purity is increased and molasses purity is reduced.
- Syrup management system – clarification of penultimate effect evaporator syrup increases pan feed syrup brix while reducing viscosity to reduce boiling time of sugars. Increase separation during centrifugation reduces wash water requirements which improves recovery.
- Value added sugar – through improved juice and syrup management systems and single stage sulphitation Tate & Lyle Process Technology guarantee the A sugar to meet a Blanco Directo quality which is listed below. Volume can increase to 100% of factory output by revised boiling scheme.
